Many parrot friends and experts consider Freeflight is one of the most beautiful experiences you can make with your parrot. For this reason Parrots Park Bochum will focus this issue on its website in the coming weeks - in preparation for the "Flight Seminar with Marcis Kreft at Aug. 31st. in Bochum.

Joachim purchased Lore privately. Willi comes from the Parrots Park Bochum. Regularly he lets his animals in the open field. By an intensive training he ensured that the cockatoos fly back to him. Today, the birds may fly freely several times a week.

Free held parrots are the specialty of the Parrots Park Bochum. When flight seminar led by Marcus of Kreft (Bird Biologist from Cornwall, England) you learn how to do it with your own animals.

The aim of the seminar is to improve communication between owners and parrot. In Germany each year many parrots, fly away which often still are viewed and also respond on call. But them do not come back to their owner. Fear and the sudden unlimited space unsettle the animals so that they always flinch when the owner is approaching. To this situation the training will give solutions. Parrots which inadvertently fly freely should learn to trust their holder and fly back to him even in stressful situations.

Especially to overweight and very temperamental parrots additional motion of flying will offer more endurance and a more balanced life. Apart from Marcus Kreft you will meet with Biologist Hildegard Niemann and the parrot expert Heike Mundt. During the seminar the veterinarian Dr. Carlo Manderscheid will contribute to the security of your birds.

The number of participants is limited to 20 persons (simultaneously minimum number of participants). The participation fee is Eur149 per person, including seminar fees and catering.

Important! To join the flight seminar you need a health certificate of your birds with current virus test (no older than 6 weeks) showing negative antigen test on PBFD, Psittakose and PMV. The arrival the previous day (August 30th) and the health control is mandatory.
