Training programme for parrots and parakeet keepers - by Hildegard Niemann and Heike Mundt
Parrot Practice Training (PPT) .
Under the guidance of Biologist Hildegard Niemann parrots and parakeets can learn with their owners at Parrot Park Bochum to work together as a team. Agenda of this training session isa one-hour introduction to the theoretical training and a practical two-part (with breaks) respectively. Principal themes of the first practical training are the basic commands "step-up" (ascension) and "step-down" (descending) and the basic commands "turnaround" (turning on the seat), Retrieve (an item to bring back) and "Shake Hands". To participate your parrot has to be hand tame. As a hostess the parrot expert Heike Mundt is available during the training. The number of participants for the practical training is limited to ten people (while the minimum number of participants). The practical training takes place in the premises of the Parrot Park Bochum, Gersteinring 5, 44791 Bochum.
Important! To participate on parrot practical training your birds need a health certificate with current virus test (no older than 6 weeks) / (negative antigen test on PBFD and psittacosis). A PMV vaccination is recommended.
